I saw on social networks someone mentions “Greener Shades have only 9 colors and they do not even have fluo! “. I told myself, I must write on the subject. There are still too many uninformed people.

Yes, Greener Shades offer dyes in 9 colors, but the possibilities are endless. Yes, Greener Shades do not have fluorescent colors … but not quite. If you use Greener Shades’ World of Color Dye Book, you will see that it is possible to do so.

There are three primary colors: red, blue and yellow. From these three colors, we can make secondary colors: orange, green and purple. Then if we mix these colors, we can get an infinity of colors.

No need to have a color training to make the right mixes and find the desired color. Greener Shades have understood the color mix and offers us a beautiful book with nearly 300 color recipes. We just have to follow the recipe from the 9 basic colors.

Recently I wanted to make a neon green and navy. I did not break my head, took my book and found the colors I wanted. I just followed the recipes and got the result right the first time. Wow! I was proud of my shot. (Read: super happy girl because sometimes my experiences do not always give me what I wanted at the beginning)

The other advantage of having 9 colors is to have only 9 pots to buy. Some companies offer more than 80 colors … that means that you have to possess the right color pot to make the desired color. Whenever I want to make a new color, I have (still) to buy a new pot of dye (with the shipping costs that come with it).

Primary colors
